Six services, one standard of preparation, across every Berwick property type.
Interior painting
Interior work covers bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, ceilings, doors, skirting boards and internal trims, as well as renovation repainting and full colour changes. Floors and furniture are protected, minor holes and cracks are filled and sanded, and repairs are spot-primed so the finish coats sit evenly.
The existing surface condition sets the preparation: new plaster needs sealing, previously glossy trims need sanding, and stained areas may need blocking. Most rooms are finished in two coats — flat on ceilings, washable low-sheen on walls, and a harder-wearing enamel on trims and doors.
Exterior house painting
Exterior scopes cover weatherboards, render, previously painted masonry, fascias, eaves, window frames and external trims. Preparation is where exterior jobs are made: washing down, scraping loose paint, sanding edges, filling and re-caulking gaps, and priming bare timber and repairs.
The condition of the existing coating determines how much preparation is needed, and each material gets a compatible primer and exterior acrylic system. Finishes are chosen for exposure — sun-facing elevations and shaded, damp-prone walls behave differently.
Roof painting
Every roof job starts with an assessment: the material, the condition of the existing coating, and whether the roof is a sensible candidate for coating at all. Not every roof can or should be painted, and we will tell you honestly if yours is one of them.
Where a roof is suitable, the process is thorough cleaning, any needed repairs and preparation, then a coating system selected for the roof material — concrete tile, terracotta or metal each take different products.
Deck painting & staining
Decks are assessed for timber condition and previous coatings before any finish is recommended. Weathered timber is cleaned and sanded back to sound fibres; previously painted or stained decks are prepared according to what is already on them.
Painting gives a solid colour and suits previously painted or mixed surfaces; staining shows the grain and is easier to maintain on bare or previously stained timber. Outdoor exposure — sun, shade and moisture — guides the final product choice.
Fence painting
Timber paling, post-and-rail and suitable metal fencing are cleaned, prepared and finished to sharpen the whole property's presentation. Long fence lines are scoped by length and condition so pricing is accurate.
Preparation depends on the surface: weathered grey timber is cleaned and sanded, previously coated fences are scraped back where failing, and metal is cleaned and primed with a compatible product. Finish selection balances appearance with the fence's exposure.
Driveway painting & sealing
Concrete driveways can be painted with a coloured coating or protected with a clear sealer, and suitable exposed aggregate can be clear-sealed to enhance the stone without changing its character. A coloured coating changes the look completely; a clear sealer protects what is already there.
Not every driveway suits every system. Cracked, crumbling or contaminated concrete needs repair or treatment first, and new concrete must cure before coating. The actual driveway is always inspected before we recommend a finish — cleaning and preparation then do the heavy lifting before any coating goes on.
